Azar tells hospital execs that HHS still backs value-based care
In the wake of soaring Medicare spending, HHS Secretary Alex Azar told a group of hospital executives that the Trump administration is committed to transitioning away from a fee-for service system.”There is no turning back to an unsustainable system that pays for procedures rather than value,” Azar said at a Federation of American Hospital’s policy conference Monday.
