IDAHO SUMMARY OF EXISTING LAW

Any insurance company issuing benefits in the state shall be ready and willing at all times to enter into health care provider service contracts with all qualified health care providers if such health care providers meet the requirements of the insurance company. See also Section 41-2872

PRACTICAL NOTE FOR EXSISTING LAW

This law can be read broadly to apply to pharmacies and physician dispensers alike, but as written, the language gives insurers an opportunity to deny network access on the basis that the provider is not ‘qualified.’
