Cassidy Introduces Legislation to Increase Accountability in 340B Program, Ensure Drug Discounts are Passed on to Patients

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), a member of the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, today introduced the HELP ACT (Helping Ensure Low-income Patients have Access to Care and Treatment), which would close loopholes in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) 340B program and help hold participating hospitals accountable for passing on discounts on prescription drugs to patients.
