A health plan shall pay for services rendered within 45 days upon receipt of a written clean claim or 30 days upon receipt of a electronic clean claim. A health plan shall specific reasons why it is not liable for the claim or that specific information is required to determine liability for the claim within the same within the time necessary to pay a clean claim. If the health plan fails to make payment as required it is subject to interest of 1.5% per month.
